An installed travel profile and a working mobile-data connection are different states. If data does not work, avoid repeatedly deleting and reinstalling the profile. Start with the selected plan's instructions and collect enough information to identify which stage is failing.
Establish whether the plan should be usable now
Use the provider's order information to confirm the destination, validity, activation conditions, and remaining allowance. A plan intended for a particular region may not connect before you reach it. Installation success alone does not establish that validity has started or coverage is available.
Keep the order reference privately. Do not post an installation code, account screenshot, or full device identifier in a public troubleshooting forum. For purchase preparation rather than a connection fault, see the compatibility checklist.
Inspect the selected mobile-data line
Follow the phone manufacturer's current instructions to identify which line supplies data. Confirm it is the intended travel line. Device menus differ, so do not apply a button sequence from a different model blindly.
If provider instructions require a setting such as data roaming or a particular network configuration for that travel profile, follow those instructions for the correct line. Do not enable broad roaming on the home line simply because an unrelated guide suggests toggling everything.
Change one relevant setting at a time
Write the starting state and what changed after each supported step. If the provider recommends a reconnect or restart, save work first and follow the applicable procedure. Do not edit network values you do not understand based on a guessed example.
For an invented case, a phone has both a home line and a travel line, but mobile data remains assigned to the home line. Discovering that selection gives you a specific issue to address; it does not prove that every no-data problem has the same cause.
Stop before removing the profile
Removal can affect your ability to reuse the installation information, depending on the provider and plan. Get explicit current guidance before deleting a profile. Reinstallation is not a harmless universal reset.
The provider help entry point links to installation and troubleshooting resources; use the relevant instructions for your actual purchase. A different provider's guide may not describe the same provisioning process. This is not a referral link or a recommendation to buy another plan while diagnosing the first one.
Send a focused support request
Use a trusted connection and the provider's official channel. Describe the model, destination, plan, error, data-line selection, and steps already tried. Share only the necessary identifiers through that support process. The remote-support preparation guide can help keep the request clear.
If data resumes, test a small intended task and compare the allowance through the appropriate account information. If it does not, keep important directions available offline and request plan-specific help rather than making increasingly destructive changes. A good troubleshooting result includes knowing when to stop.
